Monday on the bike

Today it was another trip to the Hayward shoreline. I drove down, then got on the bike and pedaled it to the road that is next to the freeway that leads to the San Mateo Bridge. The trip computer says:
Peaked MPH - 16.2
Average - 9.3
Distance - 6.9
Pedaling for - 44 mins.
Don't know what that says really...I didin't do much sprinting. Much of it was easy going pedaling on the dirt road. Didn't hit the high gears that often. It felt like the road got the best of me almost all the way thru. Unless the wind was at my back. That and the slight downhill parts were fun too. I did take a few breaks.
Nothing like the sensation of speed. When I got back to the Durango, I felt like I could just pedal on home from there. By that time my iPod was finished with the podcasts it had and I was on to shuffling the songs.
And that all leaded to an adrenaline rush, or something. It just felt good, and put me in a happy mood. I continued to blast the jams on the iPod all the way home, and onto the grocery store too. Rockin' out has to be a little bit healthy for you. May not be so great on the ears, but it made me happy for sure. Then tonight we saw "The Wedding Crashers." The "non-theatrical" version of it. Good movie 2 thumbs up. It got severly silly at points..but My Dad and I couldn't stop laughing at it.
