Peninsula TV's Studio

Some pics of the Peninsula TV studio. At the audio board is where I'm spending much of my weekend.
We're shooting a couple of episodes of a show called "Speak Out."
It's one of the more elaborate shows I've ever worked. It's got two hosts on wireless mics, six panelists on lavs, and up to 8 channels of live band, plus, 3 wireless hand-helds for audience questions. And I send a PA monitor feed for the band.
I'd say the hardest thing for me is getting the host mics up right (cuz they weren't standing left-right, so it was criss-crossed on the board). The second hardest is getting the right panel mic up, because I can't just have them all up at once, that would sound bad. I have to ride them for who's talking. And as I don't have line of sight, nor my own personal tv monitor, it gets a little tricky.
Of course, mixing in the live band isn't easy either. I don't have as much experience with live bands as I'd like. Hopefully it will all sound good to the producers and viewers.
Either way, Peninsula TV is by far the best studio I've ever worked in. It's got excellent acoustics, nicely sized studio, good lighting (although a tiny bit old), great cameras (all you'd need for SD), and fairly solid rest of the gear. The control room is do quiet that I can do a mix and hear the director without any need for intercom.

The people are great to work with too. And they even bring in great clients like the "Speak Out" show.
